Above The Sky was the experimental solo project of Rodrigo Castellanos created in late 2008 in Woodbridge, Virginia. The debut full-length album, The Common Scheme, has been postponed until further notice, but he is currently working on a new album, Revolution. Revolution will be a concept double-album.

Above The Sky is known for his DIY ethics more commonly found in the punk scene. All EP's are available for free download, and every song that was not included in a full-length are put into a compilation album also available for free download. Also notable are influences from different genres, mostly post-rock, but also includes hip-hop, ambient, trance, progressive rock, classical, and more.
