9voltpenpal is self-described as acoustic driven electronic indie dance rock... or something like that.

9voltpenpal, or J, is based in Norfolk, Virginia. He is known for his mellow beats and soulful lyrics. J is the founder of the band and has been making music since high school. He's worked solo up until 2009(Uncertain Date) when Davis joined. Together they soon released three new tracks; You Do the Math, Game Over, Man; and We Could Come Cleaner. He continues to make music and hopes for a bigger fan base to be able to tour.
