6cheek is a trio from northern NJ that plays crafted rock. Fresh off the heels of a 6 month recording stint, Cheek is back with a self-produced album entitled Love, Loss & Crimes. Dubbed by the Aquarian as "the closest thing to audio marijuana", the band has built a strong following in the NYC area over the past two years at venues such as The Bitter End and The Lion's Den. Cheek brings their own unique brand of energy to shows; while singer/guitarist Wesley Keith hunches over a microphone stomping his foot, Jer Fraites splits time between bass and keys, and drummer Joe Branciforte plays with a controlled fervor. The result is something that is hard not to watch. Known as a "solid young rock trio" (Eli Wolf, Senior Director of A&R at Blue Note Records), the band is often compared to Radiohead, Jeff Buckley and the Cold War Kids.
