2K appeared in 2009 on an anti-fascist music scene in St. Petersburg. The first few years has performed in concerts with Russian hardcore bands, sometimes participating in hip-hop events. With the introduction of a separate politicized rap community, densely occupied niche politicized hip-hop with a clear position against class inequality, police brutality and racism. Now, due to activation of the protest movements, and the associated repression, 2K has claim to be the radical political rap.
