The band was formed in the city of Sverdlovsk in 1980. Urfin Juice, named after the antagonist of a popular children's book by Alexander Wolkov, became a new, radical phenomenon in the country. It was a symbiosis of Led Zeppelin and Supertramp, with sound experiments and strange, unusual lyrics.
The band recorded 3 albums, including “15” (1981), which brought them legendary status in Russian rock. Even now the album is the one of the most successful progressive rock albums in Russia.
