Russian media reports have confirmed that early-2000s-era pop stars t.A.T.u. will be performing in their home country of Russia at the 2014 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony in Sochi. February 7th marks the kick-off of the Olympic Games, and the Russian pair, whose popularity skyrocketed more-so because of their marketed “relationship” with one another than their music will be performing for all the world to see.

The reports state that t.A.T.u — comprised of members Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova — will sing “Not Gonna Get Us”, which again was a massive single simply because of the lyrics tying in to their supposed controversial relationship. With all of the negative press that Sochi 2014 has been getting, this piece of news is the one bright spot simply because of how over-the-top the performance is expected to be.

The 2014 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony will be taking place on Friday, February 7th at Fisht Olympic Stadium.
