Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” Remains at No.1 On Billboard Hot 100

News

No need to shake off the haters, Taylor Swift: your new single “Shake It Off” has landed you the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 countdown! It’s only been on the chart for a week, but it entered right at no.1, which to be honest we totally saw coming from the country-gone-pop songstress. Dropping her next album 1989 at the tail end of October, we bet there will be plenty of number one singles from miss Tay-Tay.

Inspired by the year of her birth, Taylor’s album title is also telling of the musical style she’s following now that she’s gone full pop. Expect a handful of 80s-tinged jams from Ms. Swift in the months to follow her album dropping. But who else is on Billboard’s Hot 100? Nicki Minaj is right behind her at no.2 with “Anaconda,” while Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” holds tight to the number three position. Go ladies!

Rounding out the top five is Sam Smith at #4 with his tear-jerking “Stay With Me,” and MAGIC!’s “Rude” is still riding high taking the five spot.
