Dropping one of the most highly-anticipated pop albums of 2013, and of her entire music career, Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz is officially out on October 4th, but was available to stream today for fans (and haters) alike. Described as a collection of, well, “bangers”, the 13-track LP has already spawned two massive singles, “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball“, totally changing the safe musical direction that Cyrus was once following.
Mixing elements of hip-hop, glitchy electronica, and straight-up pop ballads, after hearing a stream of the album, critics are leaning towards a more positive review of Bangerz. It’s not one of the most profound albums of the year, but because Cyrus is so headstrong about her new image and how her music sounds, the confidence comes out in both the music and the lyrics, and music experts are rather impressed by her gusto.
Standout tracks on the album include her feature with Britney Spears, “SMS (Bangerz)”, the first track “Adore You”, and the deep song “Drive”. It’s safe to say that after Miley releases Bangerz, her music career will never be the same!
