Sargent House is a Los Angeles based management company and record label, which formed in 2006. Built with the desire to do things differently, they also operate within the world of licensing, PR as well as housing the label/production company; Rodriguez Lopez Productions, fronted by At the Drive-In/ The Mars Volta co-founder Omar Rodriguez-Lopez.
Founded by Cathy Pellow, whom never had the intentions to start a label, the first release came from ska/punk crossover act RX Bandits who at the time were keen to leave their contract with Drive-Thru Records. A phone call later and it was agreed they’d be the first release via Sargent House.
Currently, all Sargent House managed bands also have a release on the label. The label has a strict “no submissions” policy, preferring to add new bands stemming from within the ever-expanding Sargent House network.
