Dreadlock Tales are an experimental dub collective out of Helsinki that’s built around Kimmo Tyni and Vallo Lankinen. Producing music for both the Floating Mountain and Shivaratri imprints, they’ve shared the stage with numerous top acts over the years. They also like Pink Floyd, which tells you a lot about this tune from their album SynchroniCity.

Named for the three elements that make up their music (reggae rhythms, acid jazz technology and dub vision), Jah Acid Dub is a Paris-based collective that draws on Lee Perry’s Black Ark era as their main inspiration, we nods to liquid dub, the Orb and classic acid jazz troupes.
Formed in 2003 by Pablo Tyler, Lee Ellis and Craig Clarke, Ital Roots Players released their first record that same year. You can find their brand of “lounge dub” in the movie Rent A Rasta. They recommend this cut be played at maximum volume.
