On the Scene: Bristol

On The Scene

Portishead, Tricky and Massive Attack all came to define Bristol in the 90’s, turning a British city once known for being a slavery port into a thriving centre of underground culture.

The stomping ground of notorious graffiti artist Banksy and the source of some of the 00’s finest British comedy, Bristol has remained a musical mecca. Venues The Academy, The Thekla and The Fleece draw in the crowds from neighboring West country towns, showcasing the finest local and international talent.

In the tradition of the trippier, more relaxed musicians the city has given birth to we offer up three free sounds of the city for you to try out below.
