Bumbershoot 2011 Pre-Party: Free MP3s From This Year’s Festival Highlights

Music

Everybody loves free music. This entire week, we’ve highlighted the most relevant soul survivors, electronic wizards, and a new breed of hip-hop makers booked at this weekend’s Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival. Even if you’re not going, there’s something for everyone in the form of an MP3. From soul veteran Charles Bradley to the ’80s nostalgic synth-wave sounds of Com Truise, download your next favorite track inside.

If you like your music with an alternative-rock edge, try Minus The Bear. They’re playing Saturday 9/3 and are giving away the six-song Hold Me Down EP – completely free – through their website.

If you have time, check out an exclusive Live/Acoustic version of “Hold Me Down” from our pals at Last.fm/Discover.

Also, try School of Seven Bells. Put this one in the ears of music fans who like Lush or early Simple Minds and you’ll have a friend for life.  Free music here.
