Mekons are fast approaching their new album’s release date (slated for September 27th) and coinciding fall tour. It is hard to put a finger on what kind of rock ‘n roll this band concocts, but know that it is raw, it is honest, and it is sure as hell fun.

Speaking of fun, if you haven’t heard of NYC’s Rubblebucket yet, you’re about to discover your new favorite party band. Comprised of as many members as a Simpson’s got fingers, Rubblebucket blast horn section pomp and ear-candy melodies with as much gusto as a whole park’s worth of street performers.
