The tour features a number of Daytrotter vets as well a some artists they just think are cool. This is the fifth year that they’ve done Barnstormer, and it has been an extremely popular festival in their native Midwest. The lineup focuses on the sort of winsome indie rock that can be found on Daytrotter’s website.

Artists like White Rabbits, Doug Paisley, Wildlife and Deer Tick will be performing in what is sure to be a laid-back and very enjoyable mini festival experience.

Shows will take place in Amish country, near Woodstock, in the hometown of the Black Keys, and in some of the most amazing settings imaginable — horse barns on the property of a former insane asylum, barns on hundreds of acres of scenic land, barns that were formerly used to make cider and even a barn where it’s believed that cults worship.

The barns alone are worth the price of admission, but Barnstormer music is doubly good. Past Barnstormers have featured bands like Dawes, Local Natives, Delta Spirt, Ra Ra Riot, Justin Townes Earle and many more in the hay lofts. You can bet this one will be every bit as memorable.
