Label Of The Week: Holy Roar Records

Label of the Week

Since 2006, UK-based Holy Roar Records has been releasing music by some of the most explosive undergound bands you’re likely to come across.

Artists have included London punks Gallows, female-fronted mathcore band Rolo Tomassi, and Scottish post-hardcore sextet Dananananaykroyd.

Alex Fitzpatrick and Ellen Godwin started the label after they moved to London from Birmingham. Their first release in June 2006 was by grindcore band Phoenix Bodies.

Fitzpatrick and Godwin quickly went from strength to strength, and during the past five years they have released over 75 CDs, records and tapes.

Below are three tracks, specially chosen by the label, to show what Holy Roar is all about. Follow the links to read more about each artist and to get your free MP3 download.
