Label Of The Week: Nettwerk Records

Label of the Week

Striving to embrace the ever-changing dynamic of the music industry, the people at Nettwerk Records are constantly thinking of new and innovative ways to connect fans with great music. Their simple mission statement, after all, is: “We Release Music That We Love.”

Nettwerk Records has been around for a quarter-century. It was founded in 1984 in the Vancouver, Canada apartment of Terry McBride, and since that time it’s gained a worldwide reputation as a forward-thinking label (and, later, management company). Artists championed by the label include Coldplay, Sarah McLachlan, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Old Crow Medicine Show. All told Nettwerk has earned more than 150 million worldwide sales through the releases of over 400 albums.

With offices today in the UK, Germany, and North America, Nettwerk is well equipped to launch and manage the careers of some of the world’s biggest and most talented artists–but is also able to spread its wings.

Check out three of Nettwerk’s current artists below, and be sure to click through to their artist pages, where you’ll find a selection of free MP3 downloads.
