Label Of The Week: Erased Tapes

Label of the Week

Born in Berlin but raised in London, Erased Tapes Records is a label focusing on music of a cinematic nature, working with a variety of artists in genres such as post-rock, electronic, and neo-classical.

The label’s third compilation, Erased Tapes Collection III, was released on June 20 and features 11 of the finest tracks the label has to offer. Check out more about some of the artist through the links below. And be sure to visit the Ólafur Arnalds page and download a free MP3 of the song “Þú ert sólin”!

FREE MP3: Ólafur Arnalds, “Þú ert sólin”
Iceland’s Ólafur Arnalds is perhaps the highest profile artist the label currently holds. His subtle orchestral movements have captured the hearts of music fans worldwide, and you can download one of those from his latest album, …and they have escaped the weight of darkness.

Rival Consoles, “I Left The Party”
Turning the tempo up slightly is Ryan Lee West, aka Rival Consoles. His experimental dance sounds are released in the form of brand new album Kid Velo. “I Left The Party” is from that album.

World’s End Girlfriend, “Teen Age Ziggy”
One of the label’s newest signings, World’s End Girlfriend hails all the way from Japan and released its latest album Seven Idiots last year. You can check out the band’s manic fusion of dance, classical and countless other sounds with “Teen Age Ziggy.”
